What qualifications do f2f counsellors have? view
Our counsellors are all fully qualified in what they do and have several years’ relevant experience in the areas of counselling they specialise in. They are either British Psychological Society (BPS) chartered clinical or counselling psychologists, counsellors or psychotherapists accredited with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) or psychotherapists registered to practice with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) or the British Confederation of Psychotherapists (BCP). From the information you have provided, we will recommend a counsellor who has the qualifications and experience we believe is most suited to you.
|
What type of counselling will I have? Does this include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)? view

Can I choose the sex of my counsellor? view
We understand that you may prefer to see a male or female counsellor and are happy to provide you with your choice. |
Can I pay for one session at a time? view
We ask you to pay for your sessions in advance. When you start counselling with us, you pay for your initial session during which you agree with your counsellor how many sessions you are likely to need in total.
If you are expected to need fewer than 4 sessions, we ask you to pay for them all in advance.
If you are expected to need more than 4 sessions, you can choose to pay for all of them in advance, or in blocks of 4 sessions. As you reach the end of your counselling, you may have fewer than 4 sessions left, in which case we ask you to pay for the balance in advance.
|
Can I pay for someone else to use f2f? view
We are not able to accept bookings on behalf of another person unless the person concerned calls us on 0207 924 3906 to let us know that they are willing to see one of our counsellors. This includes, for example, children aged 15 or over. For children aged 14 or under, we normally ask a parent to attend the first session.
|
What if I start couple counselling and later one or both of us want to be seen individually? view
Your counsellor will discuss with you whether it would be better to refer one of you to an alternative f2f counsellor or for you both to continue with the same counsellor. You and your partner will then each need to login to the f2f website and book your sessions separately. |
